5 Books Every Women Entrepreneur Should Read!

Updated: Jul 6, 2023

Over the past year, I have listened to the following books on my Audible app when I was driving in the car or cleaning up around the house. Whenever I could find 15 minutes to listen to a chapter, I did. I was determined to develop my mind and character this past year and will continue to do so in the upcoming year. I truly believe in order for life to get better, we must get better and change poor habits and stinkin’ thinkin’!

Girl, Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis

This book was written with incredible insight into how we women think, feel, and react. An ex-boyfriend once told me something that will stick with me forever….”Vanessa, just get out of your own way.” How many times do your own thoughts and self-judgment instill fear in you that cause you not to act or have a negative reaction? Self-destruction is more prevalent than we realize. It has been so common in our lives that we fail to identify it as self-destruction but tend to call it self-preservation.

This funny and relatable book will call you out and get you acting!

The 5 Second Rule by Mel Robbins

You would think that the most simple technique would have little impact but this easy-to-do habit changer has tremendous transformation capabilities. The 5 Second Rule can be used to change bad habits as well as to train your brain to act on healthier ones.

Something about the countdown gets my adrenaline rushing and I just move once I hit 1! If you are wanting to see some major changes in the new year, this book is a must-read.

Mastery of Love by Don Miguel Ruiz

Better communication and stronger relationships help reduce stress in our daily lives. There is a sense of relief when we can comfortably be who God intended us to be around our loved ones. This book will also help increase your self-awareness to reduce impulsive and irrational reactions. When you fully understand the psychology of how and why people love, you are better equipped to communicate and love.

Judgment Detox by Gabrielle Bernstein

It is amazing how judgemental thoughts affect our relationships and self-confidence. Start a journey of self-forgiveness and repairing damaged relationships by changing your judgemental habits. Gabby goes through exercises with you to work through the junk that keeps our mindset in a fearful stage and moves you towards love.

Other books written by this author also have powerful change capabilities.

The Compound Effect by Darren Hardy

We’ve often heard the phrase “baby steps” as it pertains to slowing our eagerness down but it also is a great perspective on how our greatness can come about. When we are in the moment, we don’t always realize how our actions can lead to other things as they are built on one another.

Not only does this book motivate me, but it also helps me give myself credit for the small daily actions I take.

If you are wanting to make some serious changes, I highly suggest starting with this book collection to enrich your mind and soul. They will leave you feeling better off than when you started.

Since this post, I have added more personal development books to my library. I think collectively they should be considered the millionaire mindset declarations!
