Meet Vanessa Ann Miller
Hey, I’m Vanessa—a business and mindset coach, NLP practitioner, and creator of the Balanced Workweek™.
I became a single mom at 25.
Scared? Absolutely.
But also—deeply determined.
I was raised by a father who hustled hard. He worked his way up and taught me that success meant long hours, sacrifice, and always being “on.” So when I found myself raising a daughter while building a career, I followed the only model I knew.
She napped under my desk while I chased commissions.
We skipped playdates for prospecting calls. Friends' birthday parties for back-to-back financial planning.
I told myself, this is what it takes. And for a long time, I believed that.
Years later, I had remarried, had my son, and took on the added pressure of managing my father’s properties while my mom was battling cancer.
My plate wasn’t just full—it was overflowing. And then came the moment that cracked me wide open.
I was stuck in Houston traffic after a long day with contractors. My son, just a baby, was crying in the backseat. I was overstimulated, exhausted, and running on fumes. And I snapped.
I yelled. He cried harder.
And then I broke down, too.
That moment haunted me not because I lost it, but because I saw with brutal clarity the woman I didn’t want to be.
I didn’t need another planner or productivity hack. I needed nervous system regulation just to think clearly.
I needed a new rhythm, one that honored my energy, my season of life, and the kind of business I actually wanted to build. So I founded the Balanced Workweek™.
